I live in Brisbane, Australia (originally from NZ) and love fashions of the 40s, 50s and early 60s. I love to collect knitting and sewing patterns from this era and wish I had more spare time to make them all!
I started sewing at age 10 when my great-aunt took me to my first sewing course where I became a qualified Knitwit!! I have loved sewing ever since and make things mostly for me, sometimes for mum and very occasionally for friends. My favourite things to make are dresses and tops that I can wear everyday. I now work from a home office so I can pretty much wear what I like!
I also like to knit and have a bit of an obsession with patterns from the 40s and 50s, and love the patterns from A Stitch in Time & A Stitch in Time Volume 2. I only wish that I could knit faster as I seem to take forever to knit up a jumper!!
Hubby and I are also renovating our house so I am sure I will be posting a few pics of that from time to time. We share our home with our two adorable kitties Sundar and Kyipo who will no doubt feature from time to time.
